Vontoo secures nearly $2 million from investors; astounding growth fuels company

Voice messaging company grows customer base 1,000 percent and sales growth doubles quarterly.

Indianapolis, IN - (March 12, 2008) – Vontoo, the world’s first permission-based voice messaging provider, announces today it received nearly $2 million in private funding as a result of its customer base growing 1,000 percent in 2007 with quarter-to-quarter overall growth more than doubling during that time period.

The company sky rocketed from 60 customers in the beginning of 2007 to 600 at year’s end. Already in first quarter 2008, Vontoo has grown to a customer base of nearly 800.  Customers include organizations in the banking & financial, entertainment, retail and sports marketing industries.  Some of the many new customers this year include Chase Bank, Portland Trailblazers, Keith Urban and Buddy’s Home Furnishings.

Dustin Sapp, President of Vontoo, joined accomplished venture capitalist, Bob Compton, in founding Vontoo in 2005. “Organizations and businesses are becoming increasingly aware of the need to personally communicate with their customers, fans and constituents using a 1-to-1 approach," said Sapp. “There is no marketing tool more powerful or effective than the human voice and we’re leveraging that in a way never done before, as evident by the increasing demand for our software and service.”

Vontoo is also pleased to announce that Mary Campbell, a Vontoo investor and top female venture capitalist in the Midwest, has joined Vontoo’s board of directors. Campbell is a managing director and founder of EDF Ventures, a leading venture capital firm investing in early-stage healthcare and information technology companies.  Campbell saw the opportunity at Vontoo and capitalized upon it.

“EDF Ventures sees a great opportunity in what Vontoo has to offer the voice messaging space,“ says Campbell.  “We are truly excited to be a part of such a rapidly growing organization that is the leading provider of voice messaging services.”

Campbell has solid experience assisting companies with growth, acquisition and taking companies public

Due to the tremendous growth, Vontoo is hiring sales, marketing, customer service and software developers. The company is looking for exceptional talent that strives for the fast pace and dynamic environment that comes with a rapidly growing firm.
